Open Table and other online restaurant reservation sites are becoming more and more popular. But keep this in mind if you cannot get a reservation that way for the specific eatery and time you desire--call the restaurant's toll free phone number instead. Most restaurants hold some tables for callers and walk-ins and the online reservation sites have only an allotment of seats to reserve but not every table. Once again, using toll free phone numbers and talking to a business representative person-to-person can be more effective than impersonal online communications in many cases.
