Brief Description: Centurylink offers limited toll free service areas. No information is readily available on their website and, by phone, sales reps do not know much about what is offered because they don’t do toll free service ‘too often’.
There is often a deposit and installation charge required, starting at $25.00 for the deposit and $37.00 for installation. Some phone reps say you must have a Centurylink landline/business phone, others say you do not.
Cost for a regular Centurylink line begin at $41.00 plus tax, plus toll free and usage. Toll free monthly cost starts at .99 cents but may be higher in some areas. Rate per minute varies greatly and starts at 7.9 cents per minute.
No vanity number or 1-800 numbers are available through Centurylink; randomly generated numbers are the only ones available with them. It’s difficult to assess offered features; some areas have few features, other areas offer none.
Lots of run-around from phone reps for setting up an account; they are not readily available to lock down a plan, costs, etc. No toll free ownership offered, although porting is a ‘possibility’.
