How to get what you want

Have you ever wondered if there’s a strategy to getting the things you want?  Well, there is! You can learn how to get the things you want in a few easy steps. The hard part is implementing the motivation to follow these steps:

First, do something. That’s right; at some point you may have to start working toward your goal in order to accomplish what you want. Being on social media or watching television all day isn’t likely to help your end result unless it’s part of the job you want (whether that job is for someone else or working for yourself). Take that first step in obtaining your goal, even if it’s a small step. Don’t be afraid to take it day by day. The time is going to pass anyway; whether or not you’re watching the boob toob or doing what inspires you!

Secondly, don’t quit – even if you start to get discouraged. Fight that lazy feeling. That feeling you get when you’re no longer inspired or think it’s taking too long or you can’t seem to get it right. Those feelings are fleeting and will go away if you keep trudging forward. What if we all decided to give up after a few failures? We would be nowhere in this world, in fact, we wouldn’t even survive. Have you ever watched a baby learn to walk? You know they have to crawl first, which takes forever in and of itself, and when they’re ready to try and take those first steps, they fall. Then they fall again, and again, and again, and so on until, the next thing you know, they’re knocking stuff off shelves and running marathons.

Thirdly, keep going. This actually may be the toughest of all because people have a propensity to stop after they’ve reached their goal. You don’t want to become a workaholic (or do you?) but once you have everything you’ve ever wanted in your job or life, there are still things to be improved upon. Look at almost every invention ever made. The first person makes it and everyone else tries to improve upon it. And they do. Nothing’s ever done.
